Please take a moment to see the full list.
Remember the packages that attendees of the virtual Christmas event received (Thomas Haas chocolates, pretzels, etc.)? BOMA had leftover gifts and didn't want them going to waste, as there's only so much the five of us can eat. Instead they were donated to staff at Vancouver General Hospital. BOMA staffers Kiomi Lutz, Tracy Po and Muneesh Sharma took the time to hand deliver them. We hope it brightened the day for front-line workers.

As a not-for-profit organization, Technical Safety BC does not receive government funding. Instead, they operate using fees collected from services. This includes funding education opportunities and compliance and enforcement activities to uphold fairness for those participating in their safety system. With client feedback and COVID-19 related recovery indicators in mind, fees are changing soon.

Good to Know
St. John Ambulance BC & Yukon have launched their new campaign, Start Me Up BC, an initiative created to save more lives from sudden cardiac arrest. The goal of the campaign is to install 1,000 publicly accessible automated external defibrillators (AEDs) across the province. The community defibrillator stands can be placed anywhere and are kept unlocked to ensure the public can access the AED on a 24/7 basis in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest, a medical emergency that takes up to 40,000 Canadian lives a year.
