While online meetings and webinars certainly have benefits, there seems to be no substitute for connecting face-to-face, especially with those in your industry. Over the last few weeks, we have had the opportunity to offer a diverse collection of events, including a few exciting in-person events. In case you missed them, here is a recap!
BOMA BC is excited to announce the launch of our new Climate Action Program. This program encompasses many of the elements you already know and trust, such as BOMA’s Total Waste Management Program; BOMA’s e-Energy Training Program and BOMA U-Track; plus, it features several new services and offerings such as: BOMA’s Building Decarbonization Tool and BOMA BC’s Leap Forward Award.

Regulatory News
On Sept. 21, Vancouver City Council voted for staff recommendations on permitting and licensing procedures for commercial renovations to go to a public hearing. These new pilot policy changes intend to significantly reduce the impacts to building owners and small businesses from a change of use and allow for more flexibility when adding a demising wall.

FortisBC will be reopening its Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) program to natural gas customers, as of Oct. 15, 2021. FortisBC was able to secure new RNG supply over the last two years, providing natural gas customers with a carbon-neutral energy option.
