Renowned epidemiologist Dr. David N. Fisman returned to CSAE earlier this month with a follow-up session on COVID-19. Dr. Fisman’s message was clear that the next several months, through the fall of 2020, will continue to present challenges with a second wave of COVID-19 almost certain. CSAE and Discover Halifax have made the mutual and difficult decision to cancel CSAE’s 2020 in-person annual conference originally scheduled for November in Halifax. The safety of attendees is of paramount importance. We are disappointed to not be meeting this fall in beautiful Halifax. However, we will be hosting a gathering in the city for a future date, and look forward to sharing these plans with you once dates are confirmed.
