As we continue to navigate uncharted waters, CSAE needs your insight and help planning and developing future program and service offerings. A call for volunteers recently went out to members, outlining a variety of opportunities across the country. Renowned epidemiologist Dr. David N. Fisman returned to CSAE earlier this month with a follow-up session on COVID-19. Dr. Fisman’s message was clear that the next several months, through the fall of 2020, will continue to present challenges with a second wave of COVID-19 almost certain. Talk Tuesdays, our informal video chats for members, will continue over the summer months. Beginning on July 7, Talk Tuesdays will take place on the first and third Tuesday of each month, at 2 p.m. EST. Let us know the topics you’d like to discuss and register here.

CSAE and Discover Halifax have made the mutual and difficult decision to cancel CSAE’s 2020 in-person annual conference originally scheduled for November in Halifax. The safety of attendees is of paramount importance. We are disappointed to not be meeting this fall in beautiful Halifax. However, we will be hosting a gathering in the city for a future date, and look forward to sharing these plans with you once dates are confirmed.

I am the managing director of JGK Integrated Solutions, which is an event marketing services company that specializes in corporate brand strategy and logistics for associations.

I am a new member who is excited about being part of the robust CSAE community, and the opportunity of collaborating with members across the country. I have also reached out to the events committee to volunteer for this year’s Unprecedented: CSAE 2020 - Virtual Showcase.

As a digital event strategist, I offer digital broadcast quality event solutions to our clients. For CSAE members who want to pivot to virtual, I look forward to guiding them into the digital space so that they can successfully execute their virtual and hybrid events.
