CSAE News
It was a conference unlike any other! Thank you to the registrants, exhibitors, sponsors and countless volunteers who made it feel – almost – like we were all together again, for four days of learning, socializing and re-connecting. From the keynote sessions, to the CAE graduation, from a gourmet cooking class to learning to make cocktails, it was a one-of-a kind experience. Next year, we hope to gather in person for the 2021 annual conference, so mark your calendars for Montreal, October 21 - 23, 2021.
CSAE is delighted to introduce the Board of Directors slate and Network Councils for 2020/2021. We are grateful for the dedication of all of these talented volunteers who support CSAE in delivering value to our members and fostering excellence in the association sector.
These informal chats are a chance for CSAE members to connect with colleagues from across the country and discuss the topics on our minds. Hosted by CSAE’s President & CEO Tracy Folkes Hanson, this online forum uses video conferencing to enable us to have a face-to-face conversation in real time. Let’s lean on each other and stay connected in this ever-changing environment! Click here to take part.
This year may almost be over, but learning and development are continuous! Enhance your association leadership skills and advance your career in 2021 with the Certified Association Executive® (CAE®) Program. The winter intake is now open for registration. CAE’s 2020 graduating class Valedictorian, Michael Grant, shares his experience in the program: “What struck me most during my [CAE] journey was the support of this community. Every time I reached out to my network ... I was always so pleasantly surprise by the positivity, encouragement and willingness to help I was met by. It reassured me that I was in the right place. That this is a community I want to be part of. A community I am proud to stand with.”
Dive into compelling content from some of CSAE2020's conference speakers and challenge your thinking about strategy and planning in unprecedented times.
Member Spotlight
CSAE member since 2008
I am the Executive Director and Registrar of the Alberta College and Association of Opticians. CSAE was a natural choice for me given my passion for association work. The CAE program was exceptional and helped to crystalize my knowledge of association management. I have volunteered as a director of the CSAE Edmonton Network Council, a member of the communications awards and maintenance of certification program task forces, and a subject matter expert for a course development advisory committee. Above all, I value holding a designation that is highly respected in North America and recognized by employers across sectors and industries. I also appreciate CSAE publications and networking and professional development opportunities. CSAE is the best home for association professionals in Canada! Connect with Jennifer on LinkedIn.
