Mark your calendars! CSAE is thrilled to have three in-person events already scheduled for 2022. CEOs, we can’t wait to see you at the Symposium for Chief Staff and Chief Elected Officers (March 24-25) in Toronto.  A virtual option is also available for those unable to join in person. We are also excited to announce that Tête-à-Tête will take place on April 6 at the EY Centre in Ottawa. Watch for registration to open in January – free to all association professionals. I currently serve as executive director of the member-funded common-interest RCAF Association, and I am also certification director of the not-for-profit Association for Strategic Planning (ASP), a global organization with roots in the U.S. I joined CSAE in 2007 to connect with professionals who could help me understand the nonprofit sector and the role I was hired to fill. I continue to benefit from those connections. Adding the CVRM, SMP and two Master's degrees (MA Leading Innovation & Change and MSc in Strategic Planning) to my CAE has provided a broader understanding of people, organizations, processes, practices and professionalism. These are some of the essential elements of success in serving and helping similarly committed people.

During the pandemic, associations have relied exclusively on technology to connect with members.
