An online survey, initiated by Bramm Research in late March, 2020, sought to quantify the impact of COVID-19 on CSAE members. Questions dealt with level of concern, impact on revenue, the workplace, staffing, preparedness, and the adoption of technology and tools. A follow-up was conducted in early June. Member associations now had several months’ experience living within the restrictions imposed by the pandemic, so it was a good time to explore further. How are associations adapting? CSAE member since 2014 My name is Jill Haig, and I am the director of operations with the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario (RMTAO). I joined CSAE soon after I joined the RMTAO nine years ago, and it’s been quite the journey! I use my CSAE membership as an opportunity to learn everything I can, and I never could have imagined how much I would grow. Early on, my goal was to complete the Certified Association Executive® program, and I was proud to earn my CAE in 2017. I’ve gone from an uncertain entry-level employee to a confident and experienced association director, and I couldn’t have done that without the support of CSAE and other CSAE members I have met along the way.
