Modeled after The Summer Summit, which has successfully delivered professional development and networking opportunities to association executives over the past 17 years, the Western Summit is poised to attract audiences from associations across Western Canada. My name is Melissa Lujan, and I am part of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) department at the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC), where I serve as the Mainpro+ Manager. I lead a dedicated team that supports our Family Physician members in maintaining and reporting their CPD activities. In July 2023, I attended my first CSAE event, the Summer Summit. I was immediately struck by the positive energy and sense of community among the attendees. The experience made me feel connected to a network of like-minded professionals, and I knew I wanted to become more involved with CSAE.
