CCBO Creates Committees to Target Specific Goals

Print Print this article | Send to Colleague

The 31st Annual International Conference brought new ideas to the structure of leadership in the association. On Saturday morning, the Board of Directors created five new committees, each designed to target one particular aspect of growth and development for CCBO.

In recent years, the only committee in existence has been the Awards Committee, which has done a fine job of delivering an exceptional Awards program every year. In Palm Springs, however, CCBO decided to change its committee status. In addition to Awards, CCBO now has committees for marketing, professional development, audit and finance, membership, and selecting sites and planning for the annual conference each year. Each committee is chaired by a CCBO board member who has knowledge and expertise in the respective area.

In order to recruit members to serve on each committee, sign-up sheets were placed at the Leadership Academy lunch for any interested business officers. Boy, are the 2013 Leadership Academy participants enthusiastic! In no time, each slot was filled and there was no more room for people to get involved.

Thank you to the following CCBO members who will serve on committees for 2013-2014:
