CCBO Launches First Friday Webinars

CCBO launched its First Friday Webinars series in April. The series features a webinar on the first Friday of every month specifically tailored to the needs of community college business officers. Covering a wide spectrum of topics within the community college business sector, CCBO members will be able to access relevant, free professional development year round.

On April 4, Ron King and Edward Ko of CampusGuard partnered with Brad McCormick of John A. Logan College to deliver helpful information about PCI compliance. Titled "PCI DSS and the Business Office," the webinar covered the basics of what it means to be PCI compliant, why it is important, and what business officers can do to become compliant. After polling the audience throughout the presentation, it quickly became clear that many were doubtful of their own PCI compliance.

If you missed the April webinar, be sure to catch the next webinars in May, June, August, and every month after that for the rest of the year. We hope to continue increasing the value of your CCBO membership by creating engaging educational programs that you can't get any where else.

If you are an institutional member or business partner interested in presenting a webinar, please contact Lillian De Lisle, Managing Director: Lillian.delisle@ccbo.org / (434) 293-2825, x229.
