CCBO Installs Jami Van Ess as President and the new 2015 Board Members

Charlottesville, VA (October 17, 2014) – CCBO, the premier community college association serving current and future business officers, appointed Jami Van Ess, vice president of business and administrative services at Coconino Community College, as 2014-2015 President. 

Dr. Tangila Dove, vice president of college services at Northeast Lakeview College, was installed to begin her term serving as President Elect. 

Libby Argiri, vice president for business at Macomb Community College, was elected to begin her four-year term on the Executive Committee, beginning as Vice President, Regional Services. 

Liz Murphy, CEO at CampusWorks, Inc., was installed to serve a two-year term as Business Partner Member at Large. 

Joseph DaSilva, vice president of administration and CFO at Springfield Technical Community College, was installed to serve a three-year term as AACC Liaison. 

Suzette Senn, director of cash management/systems at Midlands Technical College, was installed to serve a three-year term as Awards Committee Chair. 

Dr. Betsy Summerfield, risk manager at Southwest Virginia Community College, was installed to serve a three-year term as Member at Large. 

Dr. Judy Mitchell, vice president of administrative services at Joliet Junior College, was installed to serve a three-year term as Region 5 Representative. 

Chris Murphy, director of finance at Northeast Mississippi Community College, was installed to serve a three-year term as Region 6 Representative. 

Ian Brice, associate vice president administrative services at Central Piedmont Community College, was installed to serve a three-year term as Region 7 Representative. 

Brad McCormick, vice president for business services & college facilities at John A. Logan College, completed his year as President and will serve a one-year term as Past President. 

Continuing their terms on the 2014-2015 CCBO Board of Directors: 

  • Deborah Gilbert, deputy executive director for finance and administration at Mississippi Community College Board, serving as Treasurer. 
  • Dr. Ron Rhames, senior vice president and chief operating officer at Midlands Technical College, serving as Leadership Academy Dean.
  • Carla Chance, executive vice president at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, serving as Member at Large. 
  • Theresa O’Carroll, controller at Moraine Valley Community College, serving as Member at Large. 
  • Dawn Vinberg, executive director for financial services & planning at Seattle Colleges, serving as Region 1 Representative. 
  • Carole Coleman, vice president for finance and administrative services at Arizona Western College, serving as Region 2 Representative. 
  • Marla Moody, vice chancellor for finance at Ozarks Technical Community College, serving as Region 3 Representative. 
  • David Browning, vice president of business services at El Centro College, serving as Region 4 Representative. 
  • Joseph DaSilva, vice president of administration and CFO at Springfield Technical Community College, serving as Region 8 Representative. 
  • Russell Litke, vice president of administrative services at San Juan College, serving as Special Initiatives Member.
