In Palm Springs, twelve business officers received awards in four different categories. CCBO awards honor those individuals who have shown institutional excellence and professional development. These prestigious awards are given to business officers who have been nominated by presidents or colleagues, and selected as winners by their business officer peers.
Exemplary Practices Award
The Exemplary Practices Award recognizes outstanding, innovative, or collaborative practices in areas such as Human Resources, Finance, Technology, Facilities, and others. After CCBO Awards Committee member Suzette Senn announced the three winners, David Browning spoke about El Centro College’s "Dart Free" program, their solution to the lack of a commuter parking lot on their campus.
