I would like to begin by welcoming aboard our new CCBO Executive Director, Kelsey Harmon Finn. I look forward to working with Kelsey to continue to carry out CCBO’s mission and solidify CCBO as the premier association serving community college business officers.
CCBO experienced several unexpected leadership vacancies at the end of 2015. I would like to thank Jami Van Ess for her diligence and commitment in not only recruiting and assisting in finding replacements for the open positions, but also her guidance and assistance as I transitioned into the Presidency position.
One of my goals for 2016 is to continue to grow CCBO as an association. The Board of Directors are also focused on positively moving the metrics as it relates to growing all aspects of this great organization. As CCBO re-energizes and refocuses, we continue to strive to be the premier organization to support current and future business officers. Key areas of focus for CCBO in 2016 include:
The greatest values of CCBO are the networking, shared collegiality, and the knowledge and experiences shared among its members. As always, the Board and I welcome feedback to assist us in advancing the organization and meeting the expectations of all business officers. I wish you all the best in your personal and professional endeavors in this new year. I look forward to networking with each of you at our 34th Annual International Conference, September 24 - 27, 2016. Let’s all make a commitment to invite someone new and set a record attendance in beautiful, sunny Orlando, Florida this year.
Wishing each of you a happy and prosperous 2016.
