Charlottesville, VA (October 28, 2016) – CCBO, the premier community college association serving current and future business officers, is pleased to announce that 11 community college professionals have graduated from the CCBO Leadership Academy.

 

"The 2016 CCBO Leadership Academy graduates worked hard on their projects, and I am proud of the value they provided to all the participants by sharing their experiences and best practices," said CCBO Leadership Academy Dean Keith Houck. "The Academy continues to help members prepare for the next level of their careers in community colleges."

 

The new Leadership Academy graduates are:

• Kelly Brooks, vice president of business & finance at El Centro College
• Chasity Daniels, controller at Ozarks Technical Community College
• Maderia Ellison, director of financial services at Northland Pioneer College
• Keisha Farrington, director of business operations at Dallas County Community College District
• Alisha Fox, director of purchasing & contracts at Cleveland State Community College
• Debra Hill, director, business manager at Midlands Technical College
• David Hittenmiller, assistant controller at College of Lake County
• Kim Malcolm, director of business services at Illinois Central College
• Darrell Norris, controller at Jackson College
• Luisa Ott, executive director II accounting services/comptroller at Central Arizona College
• Suzzanna Rodriguez, controller at Coconino Community College

The CCBO Leadership Academy is a one-year educational program created for current and aspiring community college business officers. It features nearly 35 hours of programming in topics such as leadership skills, budgeting, auxiliary services, risk management, human resources, endowment management and other relevant topics. Also included in the program is registration at two CCBO Annual International Conferences and a mid-year project.
