Info-Excavation is pleased to welcome Public Services and Procurement Canada to Quebec and the Atlantic region as a new network owner member. This announcement follows the positive results of the pilot project set up between the CCGA and the Canadian government a few months ago. Indeed, any requestor making a locate request will receive information on the location of their network.
This announcement can be seen as a confirmation of the importance of preventing damage to underground infrastructure across Canada and the benefits to owners and excavators alike. We all work together to minimize risks to everyone's health and safety. This new step is also a step in the right direction toward the adoption of Bill S-229, which has been at arm's length for many years by the CCGA.
