Ontario's provincial government has announced the first round of investments through its House-Enabling Water Systems Funds. It will invest $970 million in 54 projects across 60 municipalities to assist in the development, repair, rehabilitation, and expansion of drinking water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure.
Due to a high demand for funding, the government also announced it will allocate an additional $250 million for a second round of applications beginning August 14, bringing the total amount in the fund to $1.2 billion.
