This year's Safety Conference includes a full trade show and CAPULC's first National Locate Rodeo. The locate rodeo is a competition for underground facility locating professionals to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and professionalism that they use daily to prevent damage to underground facilities and keep our communities safe.

Safety and Health Week, also known as North America Occupational Safety and Health Week (NAOSH), is from May 5 to 11. The goal of Occupational Safety and Health Week is to focus employers, employees, partners and the public on the importance of preventing injury and illness in the workplace, at home and in the community.

The Trenchless Technology Road Show in Richmond, BC will take place May 7 to 8 at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel.

A new ticket type will be introduced to the new one-call software in Western Canada on May 5, 2019. The Business Rule Alignment Group is working with PelicanCorp to develop a new Large Area Projects ticket type in order to resolve issues related to dig-site size restrictions.

Before You Dig Partners is hosting a free weekly webinar series that reviews the recent software changes for submitting locate requests to BC One Call, Alberta One-Call and Click Before You Dig MB. The webinars will review the submission process and help users address any issues or hurdles they have encountered while using the new PelicanCorp software.
These webinars will be held each Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. MT. The webinar series began on March 14 and will run until May 30.
