The Canadian Common Ground Alliance is excited to hold its 2024 Damage Prevention Symposium in person at the Delta Regina, Nov. 4-6, 2024! This is a signature event for the CCGA attracting over 200 damage prevention management professionals and decision makers from across Canada, including stakeholder groups such as municipalities, excavator contractors, oil and gas, telecommunications, electrical transmission/distribution, water and sewer, telecom, emergency management, surveyors, regulators, trenchless industries, one call centre members, utility locate service providers and administrators, engineers, insurance, risk management operations, and others who protect the underground infrastructure and impact damage prevention. Join us for this dynamic and engaging event that is sure to provide practical, relevant information that will focus on damage prevention public awareness initiatives and expand stakeholder knowledge on efforts to protect essential infrastructure. The format for the conference consists of two days of professional development, workshops, panel presentations, networking events, along with an exhibitor tradeshow. All symposium sessions and additional details on this website are in English only. Delegates who register will receive discount codes for booking flights with Air Canada or WestJet.

Cet événement phare du CCGA attire plus de 200 professionnels en prévention des dommages et décideurs provenant de tout le Canada, regroupant les différentes parties prenantes telles que les municipalités, les entrepreneurs en excavation, les propriétaires d'infrastructures (pipelines, gaz, télécommunications, transmission et distribution électrique, l'eau et les égouts), les arpenteurs-géomètres, les organismes réglementaires, les entreprises pratiquant les techniques sans tranchée, les centres d'appels, les localisateurs, les ingénieurs, les assurances, les opérations de gestion des risques et des urgences ainsi que toutes autres personnes protégeant les infrastructures souterraines ou ayant un impact sur la prévention des dommages. The Dig Safe Fund has been created and will be used to fund the attendance of individuals (specifically excavators/contractors/nonprofit affiliates) who would not otherwise be able to attend the CCGA Damage Prevention Symposium due to financial restrictions. This fund will allow us to have a more diverse audience, with a broader range of perspectives and conversations. This fund is new to the symposium and its goal is to assist attendees from our industry to be able to attend the symposium who would not be able to attend. The CCGA invites all stakeholders of the excavating community across Canada, their affiliates, and their associations to make contributions to the Dig Safe Fund. Our vision for Saskatchewan is to see more of the excavators and contractors attend and join our discussions. We have been told that the biggest barrier for local contractors or excavators is the cost of the conference, as small business owners may be able to make time to attend but might not be able to afford the extra money it takes to commit. Our proposal to symposium for 2024 is to create a fund — the Dig Safe Fund to be exact. This way, nominal contributions of any amount will help to send local excavators, contractors or nonprofit afffiliates to the symposium. This is the first time we have offered the program and we are excited to see the response. Starting at $500, your contribution can increase to any amount. We will have an application form that will be communicated to Saskatchewan based contractors/excavators to seek interested applicants; all a new work in progress. When you contribute to the Dig Safe Fund, your company logo will appear on the event website and your contribution will be announced during symposium. We thank you in advance for your contributions and commitment to the overall shared responsibility in excavaton damage prevention across Canada!
Le Fonds Creusez sans danger a été créé pour financer la participation d'individus (en particulier les excavateurs, entrepreneurs et organisations à but non lucratif partenaires) qui ne pourraient autrement pas assister au congrès annuel sur la prévention des dommages du CCGA en raison de contraintes financières. Ce fonds nous permettra d'avoir un public plus diversifié, avec une gamme élargie de perspectives et de discussions. L'objectif de ce tout nouveau fonds est d'aider les participants de notre secteur qui n'aurait pu assister au congrès. Le CCGA invite tous les acteurs de la communauté d'excavation à travers le Canada ainsi que leurs partenaires et leurs associations à faire des contributions au Fonds Creusez sans danger. Notre vision pour le Saskatchewan est de voir davantage d'excavateurs et d'entrepreneurs participer et se joindre à nos discussions. Nous avons été informés que leur principal obstacle est le coût des conférences. En effet, les propriétaires de petites entreprises peuvent être en mesure de trouver du temps pour y assister mais ils ne peuvent pas se mermettre de débourser des coûts supplémentaires. Notre proposition pour le Congrés 2024 est de créer un fonds - plus précisément le Fonds Creusez sans danger - permettant ainsi, grâce à des contributions nominales de tout montant, d'aider à envoyer des excavateurs locaux, des entrepreneurs ou des organisations à but non lucratif partenaires à vivre l'expérience du congrès. C'est la première fois que nous proposons ce programme et nous sommes impatients de voir les retombées. Les contributions débutent à partir de 500 $ et n'ont pas de limite.
