Wanted! Candidates for ACC 2017 Board of Directors Positions
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2017 American Coal Council (ACC) Board of Directors. Nominations and Applications must be submitted to Betsy Monseu, ACC CEO as follows:
1)
"
Nomination Form" – for use if you wish to nominate a candidate other than yourself to the Board - due by 5 p.m. Eastern Time, Friday, October 14, 2016
Note that with the changes to the American Coal Council Bylaws approved in June 2016, Board members may stand for election to a second term. It is anticipated that some current Board Directors reaching the end of their initial Item in 2016 will do so.
The ACC Board of Directors is charged with determining the Board’s appropriate size, and the equitable distribution of Directors across the ACC membership categories – coal suppliers, coal consumers, transportation companies, energy traders, and coal support services firms.
ACC Board Directors will be elected via written electronic ballot to be sent in early November 2016 and returned to Betsy Monseu, ACC CEO, no later than November 30, 2016.
The American Coal Council 2017 Board of Directors will begin serving their term on January 1, 2017.
ACC Board members oversee the property, affairs, finances, activities and strategic direction of the ACC. The Board typically meets in person three times per year, with the first 2017 meeting planned in January (date and location TBD), and two meetings scheduled to coincide with the ACC’s Spring Coal Forum (March 2017-Clearwater Beach, FL) and Coal Market Strategies Conference (August 2017-Park City, UT).
