Senior Licensed Flood Authorizations Officer - BC Public Service (en anglais seulement)
For the first few years, the focus of this Senior Licensed Flood Authorizations Officer position will be to lead work on tasks associated with the repeal of the Drainage, Ditch and Dike Act (DDDA). This position will work in collaboration with local governments, communities, and other provincial agencies to find innovative solutions, plan their implementation and see them through by a set deadline. Once the DDDA is repealed, the Senior Licensed Flood Authorizations Officer will revert to regular flood management work as a Deputy Inspector of Dikes appointed under the Dike Maintenance Act, responsible for statutory duties regulating dikes and other flood hazard mitigation works within the province.
