TSF Dam Safety Geotechnical Engineer - BC, Multiple locations - Government of BC
As the TSF Dam Safety Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for the management of the TSF Dam Safety Program within the Abandoned Mines Branch (AMB) and will work closely with the Abandoned Mines Program area providing engineering support as required. You will liaise with and oversee the work of external professional engineers that have been contracted to carry out inspections at Provincially managed TSF sites and provide recommendations for additional studies, mitigative actions and/or upgrades. These recommendations are then reviewed by AMB staff and are used to develop annual action plans. The overall goal of the program is to reduce residual risks associated with these sites and to minimize long term monitoring and maintenance requirements.
