Comments Invited on Dam Safety Guidelines Re: Emergency Management

The Emergency Management Working Group has reviewed the emergency management principles in Section 1.3 of CDA’s Dam Safety Guidelines (2013), and has drafted an update for review by CDA members. The proposed update is intended to align CDA Guidance with the standards and practice of Public Safety Canada, and international agencies involved in emergency management.
The draft updated principles were presented at the 2015 CDA Conference in Mississauga, and now CDA members are invited to submit comments by February 29, 2016. The working group will use the principles to guide the development of the new CDA Technical Bulletin on Emergency Management.
