CDA members are encouraged to review three new ICOLD bulletins:
Bulletin 156 – Integrated Flood Risk Management
This bulletin by the Committee on Dams and Floods aims to describe the fundamental knowledge needed for state-of-the-art flood management and to provide help in selecting the most appropriate design and implementation strategy, based on basin-specific characteristics and the framework of integrated flood risk management.
Bulletin 152 – Cost of Savings in Dam Construction
Devoted to cost savings in dams, this bulletin was prepared by the Committee on Cost of Savings in Dam Construction. Part 1 discusses identifying and mitigating existing factors that are detrimental to cost savings. Part 2 reviews technical opportunities for innovation and cost savings.
