All New for 2016 CDA Conference – Special Conference Question

All new for the CDA 2016 Conference is a technical session dedicated to a specific current topic that will focus its discussions on one question.
Because of the recent dam failures at Mount Polley (Canada) and Samarco (Brazil), there has been tremendous debate on dam safety and technologies that reduce the risk of failure. This has led CDA to choose this topic for its first-ever "special conference question" session.
Interested individuals are invited to make a short (5 to 10 minute) presentation focusing on answering the question:
What are the best available technologies for tailings dams?
No formal technical paper is required. Interested applicants should submit an abstract of their presentation to 2016Technical@cda.ca.
