Canadian elected to ICOLD Executive

Jean-Pierre Tournier of Quebec has been elected as Vice President (6th post) of the International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD). The election took place at the ICOLD meeting in July in Prague, Czech Republic.
M. Tournier is an expert adviser with Hydro-Quebec, and served as CDA's representative to ICOLD from 2010 to 2014. He chairs ICOLD Technical Committee E - Embankment Dams, and was the recipient of CDA's highest honour, the Inge Anderson Award of Merit, in 2014.
