Engineers Canada partnered with Polytechnique Montréal to develop a free massive open online course (MOOC) based on its National Guideline on Sustainable Development and Environmental Stewardship for Engineers.
To date, close to 4,600 people worldwide have taken this course. The course uses engineering case studies from across Canada to demonstrate the practical application of the SD and ES principles as explained in the national guideline.
It consists of four modules and takes about eight hours to complete at your own pace. It includes quizzes and a final exam to evaluate learning outcomes.
Course registration is now open and closes April 20, 2020. The course begins with availability of the first module on March 18 and must be completed by May 15.
The course is available at no cost except if you want a Certificate of Completion with successful completion which costs $75.
