Workshop for Ontario’s Fisheries Act

The Ontario Waterpower Association (OWA) in collaboration with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Central and Arctic Region, will be hosting a one-day workshop focused on the implementation of the amended Fisheries Act in Ontario on Tuesday, March 24.
Key areas to be addressed include:
Overview of changes to the Fisheries Act and Policies;
Modernization of the Fish and Fish Habitat Protection Program;
An overview of the DFO website with a focus on the regulatory review process; and
Identification of Codes of Practice.
