GAMMA Chapter December 2010 Newsletter
Membership:
Gamma Chapter had 56 members as of October 2010; we need to encourage MDRT to participate in their Association. With their participation they gain feedback about what is available in education, seminars and presentations and meet members from all over Ontario.
GAMMA Education Meetings:
Gamma Chapter’s second meeting and education session was held on November 18, 2010. The Committee took a different approach to education by having our meeting at Peterborough Regional Health Centre; it was hosted by Tony Angione, Manager of the Processing Department. This gave everyone the opportunity to tour the Processing Department after our meeting and ask questions. We all had questions... some of the various questions were about the type of equipment, processes and procedures. We had a very educational experience and enjoyed the visit very much. Thank you to Tony for being such a great host.
The next Gamma Chapter meeting will be held in February or March. Sheryl Baker, Manager of Central Processing Services at the Kingston General Hospital and Hotel Dieu in Kingston has invited the Gamma Chapter members to tour her facility after construction is complete. This would be an excellent opportunity for members who are looking at new construction to view and discuss Sheryl’s experiences. We will let you know the date.
Classroom Course: Registration closing date: December 2, 2010.
Course: February 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 2011 at the Belleville Quinte Hospital, Belleville, Ontario.
The Gamma Chapter Executive, Helen, Elizabeth, Leesa, David and Lori would like to wish you a happy holiday season and a New Year filled with peace and joy. Best wishes for 2011.
Looking forward to seeing all the Gamma Chapter Membership at our next meeting in February or March. It should be pretty exciting! We will let you know the date.
