Lambda Chapter Annual Report

May 2011

Lambda has had three chapter meetings for the 2010-2011 membership year.  We held a meeting in October at which Marta McBurney from 3M gave a presentation titled "Quality Assurance".  Our meeting in January had an education session in the form of a webinar.  The webinar was titled "The Science Behind Steam Sterilizers"-a presentation from 3M Sterile U Online.  Our annual general meeting was held on April 7, 2011 at which we held our conference attendance draw.  The lucky winner is Maryanne MacDonald- Atikokan.

Our education portion of the AGM wasn’t able to be shown due to technical difficulties.

Our membership as of March 31, 2011 stands at 45 members with 4 of them being managers.  Approximately half of our membership attends meetings regularly.  The C.S.A.O. techniques course was from May 4-7, 2011.  Lambda Chapter provided light snacks and refreshments for the participants at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center site.  Our meetings for the 2011-2012 year are tentatively scheduled as follows:
