ETA Chapter Report

The last ETA Chapter meeting took place on March 06, 2012, and it was an attempt to celebrate spring and at the same time give the members the opportunity to reconnect with their colleagues and have fun while doing it.

Adhering to an old tradition, this meeting was held at the Mandarin Restaurant in Toronto.

Over 22 members attended but before they had the chance to kick off the celebration, the President took the time and covered few important chapter matters such as:

· nominating the ETA Chapter representative

· nominations for the three available chapter executive positions

· C.S.A.O. executive news

· C.S.A.O. Annual Conference

Michael Lacatus passed around the nomination forms for the chapter representative position and encouraged everyone to nominate one of their colleagues or themselves for this prestigious position.

Michael went on to explain the criteria and hoped that, this time around, there will be new or additional nomination.

He also explained why there was an extension to the time required to nominate for the chapter executive positions and was hopeful that the additional time will inspire some of our members to become active and truly involved in all chapter activities.

Later on Michael went over some of the provincial executive positions that have been filled or will be filled after the nomination process. He did however announce that the upcoming president is Cindy Cole.

As far as the annual conference is concerned, the chapter will attempt to send members who met the criteria required for this event. He also underlined the fact that this year, since our funds are not as healthy as before, the number of members whose names will be put forward may be a bit lower.

The chapter upcoming president, Louis Konstant, talked about the newsletter and the new format of the website and was quite confident that the new look of our site will meet everyone's criteria.

The meeting was concluded by announcing April 24, 2012, as the date for our next chapter meeting.
