Theta Chapter, PRESIDENTS REPORT , January 2013

Hello All:

I would like to extend my warmest greetings for the New Year. We have an exciting 2013 ahead of us, with many education opportunities for you to take advantage of. I would like to thank the executive Colleen, Tammy and Jeffery for all the hard work, commitment and dedication that is put into keeping the chapter running, and providing education and knowledge for the members. Also to Michelle, for staying on in the background, to help us with the newsletter and for her support. A special thank you to our members who attend our meetings and contribute to the chapter. Our current membership is at 117.

The Theta Chapter holds four Chapter Meetings and Education Sessions per year through the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN).  

In September, we had Water Quality Management presented by Michelle Bellefeuille.

November was Flexible Endoscopes presented by Vantage Endoscopy. Our next Education Session and Theta Chapter meetings are:

1. February 6, 2013: Review of the Basics of Reprocessing Event Id #21907680.
2. April 10, 2013: Instrument Management Systems Event Id # 21907801.

All chapters are welcome to attend. Your hospitals OTN co-ordinator can self register for your site with the Event ID #.

Theta Chapter Education Day: We are excited to host the Theta Chapter Education Day. We have a special incentive for members, however, all chapters are welcome to attend.

• Flexible Scopes - Difficulty cleaning and storage, Jodi Carroll, Vantage
• Review of Basic Reprocessing, Michelle Bellefeuille
• Sterilization Quality Systems, Marta McBurney, 3M

Fees for CSAO 2012-2013 THETA Chapter MEMBERS:

If you attend, the education day registration includes payment for CSAO THETA membership fee.

FOR 2013-2014: Technician $30.00, Manager: $40.00

Fees for Non 2012/2013 THETA Chapter CSAO Member: Include Other CSAO chapter members and non members: $50.00

Register early as it's limited to 80 registrants, so come and get a full day of education, lunch and a chance at over 25 prizes.
