Education Report
Classroom Courses for 2012/13 consisted of 54 students with an 80% average for the Delta Chapter September 2012 Kitchener course, 69 students with an 80% average for ETA Chapter October 2012 Toronto course, 67 students with a 80% average for the SIGMA Chapter Windsor course, and 43 students with an 87% average for the GAMMA Chapter course.
The ETA chapter March 2013 Toronto course had 53 students registered. The Delta Chapter April 2013 Hamilton course has 96 students registered, and the Theta/Lambda Chapter Northern Ontario course has 61 registered.
Total classroom students is 444, Recertification students is 90, and there were 15 distant students for the 2012/13 year.
Winnipeg, Halifax and Alberta are all interested in offering CSAO classroom courses in their provinces this fall.
All textbooks and workbooks have been updated to include the new Z314.0 standard.
The classroom and distant student exams will be updated this fall, and courses will include a new mid term exam.
The evaluation sheets and the coordinator agreement has been updated.
Fall course itineraries will now allow for 32.25 hours in total classroom time. Specific modules will now include videos displaying several processes, and additional material has also been added.
Education Directors will meet with the speakers annually to make any necessary changes regarding course content, evaluation summaries, and other updates. The speaker agreements will be signed at that time.
