Greetings to all of our members,

Chris and I would like to thank everyone for their excellent attendance at our 2015 CSAO conference, which was a huge success! Our keynote speaker, Michael ‘Pinball’ Clemons, provided an outstanding and powerful speech on teamwork and leadership. His sincere emotion not only allowed us to reflect on overcoming the odds, it also enabled each and every one of us empowerment in our day-to-day lives.

The profession of MDR signifies excellence, which entails each and every one of us to pursue national certification in earning their CMDRT. Through this certification, we identify to other disciplines that MDR promotes optimum patient care through national standards awareness. Please note that there is a CSA link within the current issue of the CSAO newsletter to assist all members in following through with the CMDRT application forms. Also, Michelle Williams from CSA presented an informative PowerPoint at the conference that is included on the CSAO website ‘Conference Page’ for all members to review. It explains the certification process and why each MDR technician should become nationally certified.

Also, there was great feedback in relation to our new ‘MDRAO’ logo that was displayed at conference registration desk. During MDRD week, there will be a survey distributed to all of our members to vote on their favourite logo. Stay tuned!!
