I hope all of our members have had an opportunity to attend the Chapter Education Days that have been arranged throughout the province. I had the opportunity to attend Sigma’s Chapter education day. Congratulations to Jeanette, Diane, the vendors, and all of the Sigma Chapter members for participating in a well organized, informative, and fun day.

The Delta Chapter will be holding their Education day on April 9th in Hamilton.

This spring our board will be focusing on updating our mission/vision statements to represent our new name, logo, and future direction. Look for surveys in late spring to provide us with your input of how we should proceed.

 

Congratulations to Rohan Jagasar for accepting the VP position on the board of directors. The new board begins June 1st. Please ensure that all of your nominations are in for the chapter executive elections by March 31st.

 

Also, congratulations to Anne Kustra, who will be stepping down from the board of directors to accept the MDRAO Education Coordinator position. This part time position was designed to ensure that our text book, work books, and other course material remain current. Anne will also be responsible to work with the printer, editor, and on other educational initiatives. She will also chair the annual course coordinator’s meeting.

 

Now that we have our new name and logo, we will be planning to provide our on line store to be available this summer.

 

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and enjoyed some time off.
