ETA CHAPTER REPORT
SEPTEMBER 2017
As we start the fall months, we must be cognizant of the sudden changes in temperature and humidity in our MDR departments. This can be quite troublesome for stored sterile packages and containers. Ensure that proper monitoring and recording are being carried out at all times.
The ETA Chapter is pleased to have sent twelve members to this year’s MDRAO Conference. This cost was absorbed by the chapter at a price of $5,424. To date, our balance in the account is $5,519.
As of the end of August, our ETA Chapter had 133 registered members, of which 57 are employed in an MDR department and 76 are students pursuing the MDRAO course.
Our next meeting is coming up soon, at a potential location in Markham, Ontario, with details to follow. Our usual Christmas dinner /meeting will be around December 7th, 2017, at the Mandarin Restaurant at Yonge and Eglington.
