ETA Chapter Report

Our chapter has had one meeting since our Christmas dinner in December 2017. It was held at the Westin Prince Hotel on March 3, 2018, and sponsored by AMT/Vantage Endoscopy group. As usual, our meetings have been well attended by more than 20 members. We have continued the trend of having educational sessions during our meetings; now, a certificate of attendance is issued from the chapter to all members.

To date, our chapter has 233 members, 83 of whom are employed in an MDRD department. Our bank balance is $4,500. The chapter is still considering hosting an educational day, which may occur between June and September 2018. During our last meeting, membership passed a motion to send two executive members and two other (very keen) members to CAMDR in October.

The chapter currently has three vacant positions: vice-president, secretary/treasurer and chapter representative. So far, no one has asked to have their names nominated for these vacant positions. If anyone is interested and has paid dues after June 1, we may nominate them to these positions.

The next meeting will be the AGM, held at the Scarborough Hospital Birchmount Campus at the end of May 2018. We are looking forward to having some new executive members and another successful membership year.
