Tamiza started her journey at Cambridge Memorial Hospital as an MDRD technician after completing her CSAO certification in 2005. Prior to working at CMH she owned and operated two businesses for 15 years. Tamiza also worked in endoscopy at St. Mary’s Hospital. From 2008-2013 she was the fill-in team lead and then promoted to permanent team-lead in the MDRD.
Tamiza takes pride in her role and enjoys helping and education current and new team members. In 2014, she obtained her certification for Certified Endoscope Reprocessing Trainer through Olympus Canada both for medical and surgical scopes.
In April of 2015 Tamiza joined the Hamilton Health Sciences team as a MDRD supervisor for the Juravinski site. She is currently the educator for MDRD at Hamilton Health Sciences for the Juravinski and McMaster sites.
Tamiza has been a member of the MDRAO DELTA Chapter since 2010 and currently holds a position as Secretary for the DELTA Chapter. She has a passion for continuing education and very recently acquired her CMDRT certification. Tamiza firmly believes in the critical role that MDRD has in the health care field and understands the challenges that we face on a daily basis.
Tamiza has a positive attitude and excellent work ethic. She hopes to raise awareness of the importance of Medical Device Reprocessing and the commitment of MDRAO and the important part it plays in education and the benefits of being an MDRAO member.
