We hope that you are adapting well to this cold weather! Before we know it, the winter holidays will be upon us.
For those members who werenʼt able to attend our September Sigma Chapter meeting and education session, please look to the MDRAO website for our chapter minutes and PDF presentation on Creutzfeldt- Jakob Disease, compliments of Helen Shaw. We also had Jamie Pilouff from Olympus speak on Safe Handling of Endoscopes. Following our two hours of education, Sigmaʼs Educator Stacey Marshall led a tour of Sarniaʼs Bluewater Health.
MDRD
Our next education session is on the importance of testing Laparoscopic Insulation Sheaths. This chapter meeting and education session will be hosted via OTN. Event number and additional information will be soon to follow.
As always, we are very thankful for all of our long-time standing members as well as our ever-growing numbers of new members. As of October 2018, the Sigma Chapter has 59 members, which include technicians, managers and associates.
