Sigma Chapter Report

Dear Chapter Members,

Hope the beginning of the new school year, fall and all things pumpkin spice are going well! 

The Sigma chapter recently organized an education day, which was held at the London Hospital Linen Services in London, Ontario.

Chapter members and the executive team received a guided tour throughout the state of the art facility. The feedback afterwards was positive and rewarding. It’s always encouraging when chapter members attend these meetings and leave feeling well educated and inspired.

At our most recent chapter meeting, the executive team and members discussed chapter development, which gave us excitement to start planning our 2020 Sigma chapter bi-annual conference.

The next chapter meeting will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019. Details will be received by email.  This will be our chapter's annual holiday education session. We are excited for all the upcoming events within our chapter, and we can’t wait to see everyone at our meeting in November.

This Sigma chapter sent 12 chapter members to the MDRAO 2019 Conference, which was held in Toronto, Ontario on September 6-8.

Within the last chapter update, we mentioned the 2020 MDRAO chapter-level elections. I want to touch on that topic again. This is a great opportunity, and I strongly encourage everyone to consider being a part of executive team. 

Lastly, mark your calendars! During October 13-19, 2019, please acknowledge Medical Device Reprocessing Week and all medical device reprocessing professionals for the work they do in support of patient care.
