Since the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have worked together to support each other in several new ways. This has required adapting to change quickly and sometimes thinking “out of the box.” In the spirit of renewal and change, I am pleased to share this idea from the Sigma Chapter.
Hosting chapter meetings and online education sessions:
Our organization is welcoming you to what we believe will be an incredible, fun, and rewarding learning journey as we all, working together, learn and hone our modern technology skills through online chapter meetings and education sessions.
On October 15, 2020, the Sigma chapter hosted a chapter meeting and education session electronically. The was an open learning session to all members. Sigma provided two vendor representatives: Steve Mortier from Trudell Health and Lance Othmer from Surgical Products Specialties. Their presentations were on point and relatable to all MDR professionals.
One of most amazing parts about this meeting was that Sigma was able to provided the MDRAO members the opportunity to meet all chapter executives - unmasked!
This was great work completed by the Sigma chapter, and we are encouraging all chapters to hop on board with this community-building opportunity.
Annual General Meeting Update:
The provincial board have been working on a safe way to host our Annual General Meeting! Details will be released soon so that you can mark your calendars.
In honour of our previous recognition week, we hope that you felt extra appreciated! Thank you for all of the vital services you provide as a MDR professional.
