May 2021 Education Report

Hello to all members,

Another academic year is about to finish at MDRAO; our online course registrations for year 2020-21 closed on January 31st and the last students had until April 30th to finish their course and exam. This left us one month to perform updates and finish business before we start another academic year on June 1st!

This year was very busy education-wise: We had a total of 427 students that took the full online MDRD course. I want to take this opportunity to thank our association management team at Becker Associates for all the hard work and help they provided us in assisting students with various issues. I also want to thank our five course facilitators for all their hard work and dedication; without them, we would not be able to run this online course.

As the summer is approaching, we are getting ready to relax a little, but our facilitators are so dedicated that they will be taking students even during the summer! Becker Associates is also preparing a much-deserved training session for the facilitators soon to ensure that they are aware of the latest changes and improvements to the learning management system.

Normally, we would have held a conference this year, but with Covid-19 and all the restrictions that are imposed on us, we still do not know if we will be holding a conference or not. I think that a live conference is highly unlikely but maybe a virtual conference would be possible. Rest assured that we will keep you posted!
