Gamma Chapter

Dear members,

The past few years have been very challenging for everyone, including MDRAO. Because of Covid-19 restrictions, we were unable to meet as usual for our chapter meetings and we have not been able to provide you with the usual education sessions.

The pandemic is not over yet, but with several of the restrictions that are lifted and with most people being vaccinated, I think that we can start our chapter activities again.

Our first education session this year will be held on October 21st, 2021. This first meeting and education session will be held through Zoom. An email with more information will be sent shortly to all Gamma members. Also, we have decided to open our education sessions to the other MDRAO chapters; therefore, we will start the October 21st session with the 1-hour education session, followed by our chapter meeting.  We have not decided on dates for the other sessions/meetings yet, but we will communicate the information with you by email as soon as we can.

I also have a big announcement to make. We have a new Gamma chapter member on the Provincial Board. We have been missing a Gamma representative on our Provincial Board for quite some time now.  Roch Landriault, who is responsible of our Chapter education now also holds the position of Director of Education on the Provincial Board. Roch will hold this position temporarily until we have chapter elections for a Provincial Representative.

Lastly, I want to share with you some exciting news: The Provincial Board is looking at holding a live MDRAO Conference in 2022. I do not have a specific date to share with you at this point, and I cannot promise 100% that the event will happen, but just the fact that we are looking at preparing a live conference is great news. Finally, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Would this be the beginning of the end of Covid-19? I sure hope so!
