CSAO – ETA CHAPTER
ANNUAL REPORT 2013-14
The CSAO-ETA Chapter report was prepared in accordance with the criteria set by our association’s constitution and the chapter by-laws and it is a true reflection of the chapter activity from the last chapter annual report.
Since last annual report, there have been both a Fall and Spring ETA Chapte rCENTRAL SERVICE OF ONTARIO MEDICAL DEVICE REPROCESSING TECHNIQUES COURSE offered and an annual Chapter rebate of $8,001.80. These funds are primarily used to send members to the annual conference as well as support educational opportunities and meetings throughout the membership year.
Since the last annual report, the ETA Chapter held four meetings scheduled and delivered at the most acceptable and opportune times and locations making sure that all these were accepted by the membership.
The first meeting took place on October 22, 2013, at St.Michael’s Hospital. 3M Canada sponsored and presented educational material for the meeting. Provincial and chapter updates were also conducted.
The second meeting was a seasonal networking session, which after many years became a tradition. It was held at the Mandarin Restaurant on December 10, 2013, and was attended by our members from various hospitals. Although scheduled as a fun/networking meeting the executive group made sure that enough time was allocated for information on the chapter and provincial activities.
Our third meeting was held at UHN on February 12, 2014, and sponsored by SciCan, who presented educational material. Chapter and provincial updates were also presented.
The fourth meeting took place at Miele Limited Headquarters on March 29, 2013.
I would like to take this opportunity and thank our secretary Kevin Wan, Pablo Ramiro, the chapter treasurer for preparing and maintaining our finance in order and the past president, Michael Lacatus for all his support.
The minutes from last four meetings follow below. The financial report prepared by our treasurer is also attached with this annual report.
