The Annual General Meeting was held on May 18th via OTN

MDRAO Survey went out to the membership in October, 2016 and we had a response rate of 8% out of a total of 931 members.

The distance, refresher and classroom courses have come to a close. We have had 120 Refresher Students and 54 Distance Students.

As Medical Device Reprocessing Technicians, we are constantly surrounded by changes in our industry and must embrace these changes in order to be successful.
For me, Medical Device Reprocessing continues to bring new discoveries and continued education. I am honored to be stepping in as your interim Vice President and excited about all the hard work the MDRAO Executive is doing right now.

Our first 2016 Delta Chapter meeting was held in October after the executive team had attended the 2016 CAMDR conference in October. Our first meeting included an update of some of the important points of the CAMDR conference.

The ETA Chapter has had three successful meetings so far for the membership year. We have had some exciting topics discussed at the meetings and we hope members have taken the opportunity to utilize some of the educational information within their facilities.

We held a joint Education Day with the Ottawa Hospital and Algonquin College. It was well attended as it was on Collins Day. It was a great Educational Day.
Some of the small Rural Hospitals had MDRT’s in attendance, giving them a chance to talk to people from bigger Hospitals.

Membership Activity- There are currently 51 members in the Lambda Chapter. This includes 2 Managers, 14 associates and 35 technicians. Membership will open again June 1st, 2017. Everyone is encouraged to join.

We were able to hold our 2017 annual Sigma chapter meeting at Windsor Regional Hospital – Met campus which also included a tour of their impressive MDR department, as well as an educational presentation from 3M, courtesy of guest speaker Dave Best.

At this meeting dates were set for 2017-2018 meetings and education sessions. Education for 2017-2018 meetings was discussed, and the following dates and topics have been suggested:
