Dear MDRAO members,

December is already upon us, and we are well on our way to celebrating the holidays. This upcoming year is election year for MDRAO; we will be holding Chapter elections and Provincial elections. I strongly encourage members who want to make a difference in their profession to get involved in their Chapter and eventually maybe get involved in the Provincial board. For me, being part of the MDRAO board has been a very rich experience that has provided me with the opportunity to meet other members, exchange ideas, participate in several conferences, and get better at what I do. It is a great opportunity to get your voice heard and to make a difference as well! Keep your eyes open for the communication emails that will be sent out to members, regarding the elections, in the new year.  Do not miss this chance.

It’s been a very busy year for MDRAO, and our management company, Becker and Associates, will be taking some well-deserved time off at the end of December and into the new year. The Provincial board members will also take time off to celebrate with their friends and family.

I sincerely hope that you will also take the time to celebrate during this holiday period. You all work so hard all year long that you all deserve to rest and have fun.

Times flies so quickly. 2023 has been a great year, with a successful MDRAO Conference as well as ETA Education days. Membership had risen. RNs and RPNs including staff who work in the dental industry have signed up. Kudos to MDR students who showed their interests to be members. A huge thank you.

2024 is an election year, and my one year as ETA President has been an honor. I’ve grown so much and met new friends. Hopefully with a new team of executives, the chapter will move forward with new activities, learning and social alike. I would like to inspire others to volunteer their time to be part of the chapter executive and be a board member.

Christmas is a time for family, food and fellowship. Wishing you nothing but the best that the season has to offer.

The Theta Chapter will be holding a meeting in January 2024, and I am hoping to rejuvenate Theta's members. The meeting will be held by Zoom, date TBD.

We currently have openings on our executive team that need to be filled. Theta Chapter membership stands at 74, which is remarkably lower than previous years.

We wish all members and Associates in all Chapters a very everyone a happy holiday season and a wonderful New Year.

As the year closes, we thank you for all your hard efforts and hope you have some well-deserved break. The work you all do each day goes towards the quality care for patients, reduced infection, and improved efficiencies. Do not forget how critical the role of an MDRD technician role is. More and more each da,y we see the community grow as well as the recognition from our stakeholders.

Hello Everyone,

Hope all the members that attended the MDRAO conference this year enjoyed the new venue as well as the conference and amazing speakers. For those who were not able to attend, we hope to see you at the next conference.

Delta Chapter is in the process of planning a professional development day in February 2024. We will be opening the education day for all chapters to attend. We are also going to be planning meetings through the year and are hoping to get members out to these events and network with other members of the chapters around the areas.

Our membership is holding strong, and we have had many new members and are reminding all members to renew their membership and email us with ideas of what they would like their chapters to provide during our meeting and education sessions.

If you would like us to hold a meeting in your area, please email your Delta Chapter committee and let us know. We are here to serve our membership and welcome feedback from our members.
