Theta Chapter met Nov 22nd, 2017, from 1:30 pm to 3 pm by OTN. Attendance had two Lambda Chapter sites and 17 Theta sites, for a total of 19 sites. There were 28 Theta and four non-members, with three Lambda members and one non-member, for a total of 36 in attendance.

Lambda Chapter has been very in-active since November, 2017. There was an opportunity made available to Lambda members to join with Theta Chapter for the Education they provided on November 22nd, 2017. A few members from Lambda were able to participate. Lambda Chapter has not had a meeting since September 2017 due to the unavailability of our Executive. This has been a result of extreme staffing shortages in Thunder Bay due to illness.

As we close out the year 2017, we certainly hoped you all had a joyous and festive holiday season! One must be mindful of the proper conditions of sterile storage as this cold period sets in, especially transporting between sites. Check the CSA standards for the proper criteria.

Another year has come and gone so quickly and we at Delta Chapter have had a full year. In our first venture into another country, we visited High Power Validation Testing and Labs in Rochester, NY. The bus trip was well attended, with twenty-nine members making the trip. The experience allowed us to see some of the processes that must be met before everything from wrap to instruments get to our MDRD’s. Hello and Happy New Year to everyone from the MDRAO Delta Chapter!
