The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) will host a series of free workshops for food processing companies in August and September. The classes are taught by agency experts and are an excellent training opportunity for food processing staff. Topics include Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Labeling, Allergen Control and Food Recalls, which are all important subjects for any food processor. The four topics will all be taught in separate sessions that will be held in Sacramento, Long Beach and San Diego. Space is limited and pre-registration is required at least one week in advance. For more information click here or contact the Food and Drug Branch at (916)-650-5456 and ask for the Industry Education and Training Unit. CLFP will post information about these and other CDPH workshops on our web site at www.clfp.com.
