Participation in the Food Processing Expo, the largest trade show of its kind in the state, has been growing steadily, increasing by some 20 percent in just the last few years. In 2018, the Expo exceeded 2,700 attendees for the first time and featured 65 new exhibitors.
A Comprehensive Labor & Employment Workshop will be held February 11, one day prior to the Expo. Employment and labor issues affect every business and staying up to date on current regulations and legislation can be challenging and impact your company’s profitability. Participating in this one-day workshop will provide pertinent information on key labor issues such as paid sick leave policies (including usability/enforcement options), human trafficking, immigration – I-9s, wage & hour, Cal Savers Retirement Savings Program (Secure Choice) and more. In addition, workshop attendees can earn credits toward both HRCI and SHRM certification. Register now as space for this workshop is limited!
This workshop is sponsored by CLFP in partnership with Fisher Phillips, LLC, and the Zenith Insurance Co.
“Grow, Learn, Connect” is the theme of Food Processing Expo 2019. In addition to the Pre-Expo Workshop, multiple one-hour workshops will be held during the two-day Expo.
Booth space for the Expo is still available and is an excellent marketing opportunity for those providing goods and services to California’s food processing industry.
