CLFP’s Tomato Processing Research Committee will meet on March 19 in Sacramento. Each year, the committee approves approximately four to six research projects that could potentially improve tomato processing in CLFP member plants.
This committee generally meets in the spring to review tomato research project proposals, which are submitted to CLFP primarily by universities. Once the proposals are reviewed, the committee will recommend to CLFP’s tomato processing members which projects to fund.
The Tomato Processing Research Committee is designed to emphasize tomato processing science and technology toward improving process, quality and economic efficiency.
