Free Masks and Sanitizers Provided to Processors Via Cal OES

CLFP continues to assist its membership in addressing the ramifications of COVID-19 on the food processing industry, including facilitating access to free face masks, face shields and hand sanitizer valued at approximately $2 million.
In May, the California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) informed CLFP that it is was offering free face masks and hand sanitizer to companies in essential industries, including food processors. The orders had to be placed through approved industry associations, CLFP in this case, and the product was shipped directly to the food processor. To date, CLFP has ordered more than 830,000 free face masks, 90,000 face shields and 7,300 gallons of hand sanitizer for our members. The estimated value of these supplies is likely in excess of $2 million.
