AB 32 Cap-and-Trade Workshop

The California League of Food Processors has scheduled an AB 32 Cap-and-Trade Auction Workshop for Friday, May 18, 2012 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the California Farm Bureau Federation, Harvest Room, located at 2300 River Plaza Drive, Sacramento, CA 95833.

The presenter for the California Air Resources Board (CARB) will open the workshop with an overview of the cap-and-trade auction and allocation allotments. The presentation will include details regarding the practice auction scheduled for August and information on the Compliance Instrument Tracking System Service (CITSS) as well as the market oversight development and financial operations contracted for by CARB.

The aim of the workshop is to provide attendees an understanding of what to expect and how to prepare for the upcoming practice auction and the actual cap-and-trade auction scheduled for November 2012.

Additional speakers include traders, brokers and risk management advisors: Dusty Granet of BGC - Environmental Brokerage Services; Rand Havens or Stephanie Watanabe of Shell Trading; and Andre Templeman of Alpha Inception, LLC.

After the presentation, a panel of the presenters will answer questions from the attendees. CLFP urges you to send your compliance personnel or others who will be tasked with meeting the AB 32 compliance obligations for your company.
